In other news, the twins are doing well. Had an ultrasound and went to the dr. last week, and they are growing nicely and are almost exactly the same size.

I'd love to hear any suggestions for boy names. We are stumped, and we need 2 (yes, the u/s tech spotted boy parts again.)

Speaking of new ...

Here is Quinn with her new skirt and her new baby. I got the baby last week, since I thought it would be better to have now rather than for her birthday/Christmas when those "other" babies are expected to arrive. She has been busy feeding and putting Baby down for naps since she assumed her mama role.

Now you have. :-) He's had an aversion to clippers until now. A screaming, crying, arm-flailing aversion. But we convinced him that clippers would not hurt, and that preschoolers are brave enough to let the hair stylist use the clippers. It worked!

And here's a shot of Miss Quinn. We went to a park after dropping G off, but it was pretty wet so we decided to throw pebbles in the river. It was a great plan ... until she scooped up two big handfuls of mud. Ick!

Noah is off to 2nd grade!

Griffin get his picture taken.

G and I ran errands today, and I asked him if he'd let me take his picture. We learned a few things. Like, when taking pictures downtown next to a cool looking door, make sure it isn't actually a door to a open business. G kept trying to open the door, and since it was locked, I let him and snapped away. Turns out, this was a bar door (so it was locked from the outside). The smoker that came out of it was quite amused at the 3-yr-old and his mama taking pictures. He definitely made us jump when he opened the door!



Isn't he cute? I can't believe how much he's grown up lately.

Another lazy weekend in MN

The kids played ... we hung out ... watched some fireworks ... ate some sweet corn.

It was a good weekend.

Monday, part 2

If you are one of the 4 people on the planet who does NOT know what the twins are yet ... and you don't want to know ... stop reading.

For the 4 of you that haven't heard yet, start buying blue. Lots of blue. Yes, according to the tech, both babies are boys. That means Quinn and I are going to be outnumbered severely. Lucky for her she already rules the world, eh?

This is sort of like heaven to Griffin

We were coming home the other night, and I asked if he'd let me take his picture.

He agreed, especially when I pulled over and parked by the RR tracks.

Seriously. He was so excited. It was too cute.

He asked if we can go back. Umm, ok. Go somewhere so Mommy can take more pictures? No problem, G-man! (But next time we'll work on that newly developed habit of pulling/twisting on your shorts, 'kay?)

Sometimes you just have to eat PB&J while wearing a tutu.

Remember the tutu I made Miss Quinn? She likes it. And likes wearing it. Very cute (although not so good for the tutu!)

She decided it accented her jammies quite nicely today. Then Daddy decided to give her a PB&J for lunch. Actually, it was a PB on toast, since we only had strawberry jelly and she's allergic to strawberries.



This was the result.

My boy is getting to be such a little man.

I wanted to try some new stuff with my camera tonight, and asked Noah if he'd be willing to help me. He was all for it. We drove all over, and stopped to take pictures wherever it looked like we might get a cool shot. Noah had as many ideas as I did, although most of his involved "silly poses."

Meeting Dora and Diego

Since Grandma Ruth was here and we were looking for something fun and out of the ordinary to do, we drove down to the MOA. Anyone who knows Quinn knows she's a big Dora fan. The MOA amusement park is Nickelodeon themed, and guess who makes an appearance every weekend? Oh yeah. THE Dora and Diego.Dora and Diego and Legoland ... talk about heaven for a threesome of Lessinger kids.

Noah wasn't really into Dora and Diego. But he was rewarded for his patience at Legoland. The little two ... just check out the photos to see how they felt about Dora and Diego.

Even with all the noise at the MOA park, I could hear her little voice yell, "BACKPACK!"



This was the biggest surprise. Actually, it was a surprise that he would even go inside the "rail" that surrounded the characters and get close to either of them. And at first, he didn't. Quinn and Bob met the duo first. When they came out of the greeting area, G said he wanted to see Dora and Diego. So back in line they went.



And a hug? No way!


As they were leaving the greeting area, G actually turned around, ran back to Dora, and hugged her. I had my camera turned off already and missed the photo. But talk about a surprise!

I'm a bit obsessed with trying to improve my photos right now. The poor kids ... nothing but mom acting like paparazzi, chasing them with a camera. Noah has wisely chosen to hide but the little ones haven't learned.

They seem to be surviving. :-)





This is the outfit Bob and I brought back for Quinners from Chinatown when we went to San Francisco this summer. She calls it "pajamas."





And lest you think the kids are suffering horribly, I do believe in incentives. Ha!

Things have been busy here and I've obviously taken a break from sharing photos. During the worst of my morning sickness - approximately weeks 3-13 (ha!) - I did as little as possible. No knitting, no scrapbooking, no photos, nothing. Just a lot of lying on the couch moaning for someone to put me out of my misery.

But I'm back now. Tired and large but back. So enjoy the photos and hopefully there will be more regular updates in the future.
